How to Save Money When You Are in London

London is one of my favorite cities in the world. It has an old-school charm coupled with a modern cosmopolitan appeal that no one can miss. However, the city could get very expensive. Today, I am sharing some of my go-to money saving tips for people who are travelling to the city.

Oyster Card

This is probably the first thing you should do when you are in London. Cabs can be very expensive, especially in the night time or when the weather is not good. Therefore, it is always better to get an Oyster card that helps you travel for cheap on London buses as well as the Underground Tube. You could save as much as 50% on Tube travels by using this card. If you are leaving and have some balance left, they will even refund the card to you.

I like to travel on the Tube and while doing so, I always play online-freeslots.co.uk. They help me earn some extra cash and even let me splurge a little during vacation. I know that with hundreds of free spins, I could make a small fortune and use it during my travels. Many other tourists do the same.

Free museums

The British History Museum, the Museum of London, Science Museum and Natural History Museum are one of the best in London. You can also go to Tate Modern and National Gallery. The best thing about them is that they are all free. Go in, enjoy these awesome museums and all the knowledge they have to offer and spend an entire weekend in the city without spending a dime. The experience here is unique and amazing and it comes for free. Use that money for buying souvenirs or save for later.

The changing of the guards

What is the most British thing that comes to your mind when you think of London? Of course, the Queen’s royal guards. At 11:30 am every day, guards change at the Buckingham Palace and hundreds of people visit here to see them do it in style. A similar event happens at Whitehall at 11 am and the horse guards perform an equally unique spectacle there.

Walk

You can walk around city to get the most authentic London experience. You can even participate in free walking tours. They will help you explore London’s history as well as some hidden spots that most other tourists skip.

What are you waiting for? When you cruise hits London, follow my tips and enjoy a city with almost zero budget.
